This week in Pre-K ….

May 31, 2020

We have made it to our last Sunday newsletter of the school year!  I would be lying if I said this hasn’t been an emotional end of year for me.  First of all, let me just say at you as parents have absolutely ROCKED being teachers! We have covered a lot of ground in just 9 short months and now I fully release your child for the next stage in life, the same child you confidently entrusted to my care last fall. They are pounds heavier, inches taller, months wiser, more responsible, and more mature than they were then. They have proven that they attained growth in spite of a pandemic, it has been my pleasure and privilege to watch their personality unfold day by day and marvel at this splendid miracle of development.  We have grown close, have become a part of each other, and we shall always retain a little of each other. Ten years from now if we met on the street, your child and I, a light will shine to our eyes, a smile to our lips, and we will feel the bond of understanding once more, this bond we feel today. We have lived, loved, laughed, played, studied, learned, and enriched our lives together this year. We learned to learn through zoom and communicate in new ways!  Take care of them, for they are precious. Remember that I will always be interested in your child and their destiny, wherever they go, whatever they do, whoever they become.
Last day of School:  On June 3rd, I would love to come drop off a surprise to your child and wish them a wonderful summer  I will respect social distancing and if you would prefer a no contact porch drop off we can do that as well!  I will send you a text about 15 mins before I come.  If Wednesday will not work or if there is a certain time that doesn’t work please let me know and I will do my best to accomodate everyone!  I will begin at 9:00 am but there are 14 stops so it may take me most of the day to make it around.
Zoom Schedule:
Let’s have a picnic!!  We will have a picnic zoom tomorrow at 11:30.   Bring your lunch and we will see the chicks and chat with each other!
